CAST: CHIEF [OLU JACOBS], ROSE [NGOZI EZEONU], GRACE [CAROLINE EKANEM], PASTOR [CHARLES OKAFOR]. Basic Storyline: After attending a late night party without the knowledge or consent of her parents Chief and his wife, Rose, Grace returns no longer herself, possessed by an unfamiliar spirit. As her behavior worsens, her parents seek the help of spiritual leader after spiritual leader all to no avail, that is, until they meet the pastor. Will the ensuing battle destroy the pastor's marriage and family? Will he live to declare the glory, mercies and grace of God against this demon bent on crushing him? Despite the title, nothing in the way of massive destruction takes place, though it seems to threaten to, at least in Grace's household. Caroline Ekanem gave a chilling enough performance as the possessed victim and fiend. Technically, however, the story being told seems really to be about the people around her, from her family members to the pastor, and how they cope. "Mass Destruction" is probably most reminiscent of the original "Exorcist" starring Linda Blair, with some of that unique Naija flair and humor tossed in. It is by no means a comedy, though Olu Jacobs' character coupled with quite a few humorously portrayed scenes may give that impression. The comic element serves to lighten the absolute seriousness of the story. A must see Christian tale about the importance of faith and God's power to resolve what appears the most hopeless situation, unless of course you have an aversion to watching anything remotely related to the demonic or demonic possession on television. Engaging!
